Terms of Use
Effective: February 11, 2026
Agreement
By using Sift, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
What Sift is
Sift is a mobile app that scans restaurant menus, estimates nutrition, detects potential allergens, and ranks dishes by your dietary preferences. It is an informational tool — not medical, nutritional, or allergy advice.
What Sift is not
A substitute for professional advice. All nutrition estimates, macro breakdowns, ingredient guesses, and allergen flags are approximate. If you have food allergies, intolerances, or medical dietary needs, always verify directly with the restaurant. See our Accuracy Disclaimer for details.
Your responsibilities
- Verify dietary and allergen information with the restaurant before ordering
- Understand that Sift's output is estimated and may contain errors
- Don't rely on the app for decisions that could endanger your health without independent verification
- Don't reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
Accuracy
Sift uses heuristic models and OCR. Estimates may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. Menus and recipes change without notice. We don't guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.
Intellectual property
All content, design, code, and data in Sift are owned by Shagun Srivastava. No copying, modifying, or creating derivative works without written permission.
Liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shagun Srivastava is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app — including reliance on nutrition estimates or allergen flags.
Termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the app at any time. You may stop using it by uninstalling.
